FAQs

How does NOKP operate?

NOKP is a permanent voluntary collaborative of non-profit organizations across Greater New Orleans, in coordination with government, education and research agencies. Rooted in a commitment to high quality youth support services, you can view our operational structure here.

Who can join?

The 40+ NOKP Partners welcome all non-profit organizations serving children in New Orleans to consider joining our partnership. NOKP reserves the right to limit the number of partners based upon staff capacity. If you’re interested in joining NOKP, please email contact@nokp.org.

How often does NOKP meet?

NOKP holds more than 200 hours of phone, video and face-to-face meetings every year in order to align efforts, reduce redundancies and fill gaps in our system. This includes monthly meetings of the whole partnership, executive committee and project teams; and quarterly meetings of the board of directors. The public is welcome to observe many NOKP meetings with an RSVP in advance to assure adequate accommodations.

How can I connect my clients, students, children or family to NOKP programs and services?

Contact service providers directly through Connect 2 Educate, NOKP’s “one-stop” directory to services for children and youth designed for parents, teens and professionals in the helping fields. For more information about the Directory or to get a free hard copy, email connect2educate@nokp.org.
